The Infrastructure group within my client provides network security services to a wide range of financial markets based applications and services for the business with an emphasis on real-time low latency applications.

The successful applicant will work within the Network Security team which has responsibility for day-to-day management, development of network security and firewall infrastructure, including the design and implementation of network security topologies to support the business and technology objectives of the Division.

The applicant will be a self-starting, results-driven team player who can drive the technology solution through to implementation and who has the necessary oral and written skills to communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation.

The primary objective of this role is to work with Senior Project Managers, Project Stream Leads, and Technology Leads within the technology group to support, from a network security perspective, their systems and applications in both "run and build".

Essential Experience required:

• 3 + years of Network configuration, design and troubleshooting experience with Cisco
• 3 + years of Firewall configuration, design and troubleshooting preferably with Checkpoint and Juniper

Highly Desirable are Industry Certification such as CCNA, CCDA, CCSA, JNCIA-FWV, JNCIA-JUNOS

Other desirable skills:

• Experience in real time low latency security environments
• Windows, Unix (Linux, Solaris, etc)
• Scripting (Unix shell, perl, etc)
• Multi vendor exposure to Routers, switches, firewalls, IPSs, proxy servers, eg Nokia, Bluecoat, Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen, Juniper/Junos Sidewinder
• Industry Certification such as GENIP, CCDP, CCSE, JNCIS-SEC
