A Senior-level technical expert, with primary focus on managing multi terabyte SAN and NAS Storage environment, with 'T' shaped skills. Depth of knowledge in SAN/NAS Storage servers and complex SAN core switch and with breadth of skills in servers and BUR infrastructure.


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Thought leadership in developing new techniques and methods for managing complex environment.
• Drawing upon concepts of tools, technologies and methodologies to collaborate with other technical specialists when carrying out assigned duties.
• Maintaining skills to the current industry level of certification and to mentor and up skill the team.
• Recognizing and articulating job related problems to management.
• Analyzing technical problems related to core area or to the related setup in the client's environment and finding optimal solutions to address the issues,
• Performing assigned tasks in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Challenging the validity of given procedures and processes with the intent to enhance and improve a customer solution.
• Assisting in the identification of new service opportunities.
• Skills on managing the a project assisting Project Manager by providing a technical expertise and run the project in the absence of a PM
• Abiding by Change Management and Problem Management procedures, including complying with the Service Level Agreements as documented in the Problem Severity matrix.
• Willingness to attend calls on-call basis whenever required and lead the discussion
• Create regular reports for Management requirements.

Work Experience:

Overall 15+ years of SAN Storage Administration Experience out of which at least 4 Years as a Team lead for large Storage (IBM SAN preferred) environment.

• Good knowledge in Operating Systems like AIX, Windows, HPUX, Linux, Solaris etc.
• Strong in concepts and Knowledge in IBM storage terminology like DDM, Array Sites, Rank, multipath software
• Provide recommendations to improve the SAN infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis
• Proven track record in the implementation and execution of documented support processes and can direct others in same.
• Hands on experience in Shell/Perl Scripting..
